Hollywood Arts Student Interns at Comcast Entertainment Group Alongside NYU, USC and UCLA Undergraduates
HOLLYWOOD, CA – Hollywood Arts Job Development Program, a newly added department of the nonprofit educational facility, has launched the Hollywood Arts Job Readiness division, which is tasked with finding internship opportunities and entry-level jobs that will pave paths of hope for responsible, capable, and smart young adults without any traditional resources. Comcast Entertainment Group helped launch this program by providing a paid internship opportunity to a Hollywood Arts student.
Quadiyr Wilson, 23, started taking classes at Hollywood Arts just over a year ago after moving from Newark, NJ and living on the streets of Los Angeles. After a year at Hollywood Arts, Wilson was offered participation in Comcast Entertainment Group’s competitive Summer Internship Program as the first paid intern alongside NYU, USC and UCLA undergrads.
"All of us at Comcast Entertainment Group are very proud to be the first employer to hire a Hollywood Arts student. In addition, we are happy to report that our Hollywood Arts summer intern, Quadiyr Wilson, who worked at both Style Network Programming and Production Services has proven to be one of our ‘standout’ summer interns,” says Ray Schneider. “We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship between Comcast Entertainment Group and Hollywood Arts and to providing many more worthwhile candidates an opportunity to shine."
Hollywood Arts students prepare for opportunities by participating in Financial Literacy workshops taught by Wells Fargo bankers, computer workshops lead by Warner Brothers Emerging Professionals, and Pre-Job Readiness workshops by various professionals.
