WELLS FARGO WEST HOLLYWOOD BRANCH TEACHES FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASSES TO AT-RISK YOUTH

Financial Literacy Classes are First Step in Paving Job Opportunities for Resource-less and High-Risk Young Adults Trying to Escape the Adult Welfare System

HOLLYWOOD, CA – Hollywood Arts, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit, dedicated to educating at-risk and disadvantaged young adults, confirms a working partnership with Wells Fargo West Hollywood branch that will provide bi-weekly Financial Literacy workshops for Hollywood Arts Job-Readiness Program.

Wells Fargo Business Specialist John Barron gave context to the importance of making financial literacy workshops available to everyone. “Learning early on how to maintain one’s finances is a crucial life-skill and Wells Fargo La Brea and Fountain Branch is thrilled to be able to teach Hollywood Art students how they can manage their money, no matter how little, so they never overdraft or fall into traps.”

“A leading cause of poverty’s cyclical nature is due to not knowing what to do with that first paycheck; how does one learn how to manage money if never exposed to financial literacy in the first place, we help teach our students how,” inquires Executive Director Dylan Kendall who began a relationship with John Barron at Wells Fargo when Hollywood Arts first opened it’s doors.

Wells Fargo & Company is a diversified financial services company with $1.3 trillion in assets, providing banking, insurance, investments, mortgage and consumer finance through more than 11,000 stores, over 12,000 ATMs and the internet (wellsfargo.com) across North America and internationally.
